The idea of Terra Naturale was founded in 2002 by the initiative of Damiano Valloggia, a passionate producer from Borgomanero (NO). He began by producing organic honey, vegetables and fruit in a small plot of land in Santa Cristina (NO), following the avant-garde technique of natural agriculture.
As the years passed, success grew, thanks to a series of superior quality products. Part of the growth is due to the precious support of Gabriele Mora, food technologist and Chiara Barcellini, who work alongside Damiano in the development of Terra Naturale and, above all, follow it to improve the natural agriculture project.
Natural agriculture is an oriental technique invented by Masanobu Fukuoka, a Japanese botanist and philosopher. In short, the technique does not give any fertilization (in fact the plants are supplied only with water when necessary) and works the soil only to ventilate it, without plowing, to encourage the growth of microorganisms and the mycorrhization of vegetables. In this way we obtain vegetables with superior organoleptic qualities thus more resistant to pests without intervening with any treatment or fertilization.
In 2014, Terra Naturale became part of the “Blufrutti” association, aimed at supporting fruit and vegetable producers in the provinces of Alto Piemonte. This allowed Damiano and the whole team to expand and manage a transformation laboratory, both for their own products and also on behalf of third parties.
In addition to fruit and vegetables, Terra Naturale produces juices, jams, sauces and honey.
Today, Terra Naturale can be defined as a true authentic producer of our region, maker of quality excellences, which has been able to exploit modern techniques and “think outside the box to reach a higher level of products.
A living example of the quality of this small region known as Alto Piemonte.
