Enrico Druetto’s mission is saving ancient variety of grapes from extinction, and he successfully did it with Baratuciat grapes. He took some gems from the vine that was growing on a rock and managed to create a new Baratuciat vineyard. The unique wine obtained from it is called “Preja” which is the Piedmontese dialect for “rock”.
Excellent Baratuciat grapes, harvested in three different moments depending on their ripeness in 2018, were used to make Preja, a fresh and acidic raffinate white wine that can be aged in the bottle for a long time, becoming even more valuable.
On the nose it has flowery notes (linden, vervain, chamomille) and tobacco, camphor and hydrocarbon aromas. On the palate it is fresh, thanks to its acidity, and with a mineral finish.
Pair the Preja with shellfish dishes, goat cheese or risotto with saffron, and let this exquisite and fine wine amaze you!
