Vespolina DOC is a red wine grape that is planted in north east Piedmont, typical of our region.
The grape is supposed to be most likely indigenous to this area of Piedmont and recent DNA profiling identified a parent-offspring relationship with Nebbiolo.
Bright red with violet reflections, it has an intense, characteristic and fruity aroma with hints of spice. Harmonious taste, dry, with a tannic vein. A wine of excellent company at the table.
Foodpairing: cured meats, red meats, pork and aged cheese.
