A Valli Ossolane Rosso DOC created from a selection of Ossola’s finest Nebbiolo and Croatina grapes. The name "Cà d’Matè" comes from the cellar where the aging process takes place.
This wine, produced by the family winery Cantine Garrone, has been fermented in steel for 10 days before spending 12 months in oak barrels to smooth its flavors. It is a unique expression of the Valli Ossolane appellation, using traditional Piedmontese grapes. In particular, it uses a rare clone of Nebbiolo known as Prunent.
At first glance, the wine is ruby red with purple hues. It has fruity aromas with hints of wild berries, cherries, and a peppery edge. It is a dry, pleasantly warm wine with soft tannins.
To enjoy this Piedmontese Alpine wine in the best way we suggest pairing it with hearty main dishes of meat, wild game, and aged cheeses.
