Salame ticino is a coarse-grained, cured pork salami (Italian meat) – it is typical of the northern part of Piedmont, as it has been produced for centuries.
It is best consumed as an aperitif with a light beer, a red or a white wine. In Italy, it is also consumed as an entrèe together with other cold cuts.
