Nebbiolo & Vespolina
With these two wines, Tenute Guardasole creates the base of its small production, trying to bring out the maximum that the grapes can offer in each crop.
For each vine, Guardasole has planted different clones so that they can be mixed together at each harvest, creating an optimal aromatic framework.
No sophistication in the cellar and very low content of sulfites. They get the best from the wines by managing the contact with the wood and the stay in the barrels. Guardasole pours the wine in respect of the moons, avoiding working in the winery on windy and rainy days. Hygienic and manic cleaning help creating fragrant and genuine wines.
This red wine wants to pay homage to the winemaker from which it takes its name. He has beenable to best select the harvest of the grapes according to the maturation of the different vines.
Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and medium-term refinement make it possible to obtain a vintage wine linked to traditions.
The result is an intense red wine with a full and spicy aroma, harmonious and pleasantly peppery.
Virgilio knew how to produce a refined wine without necessarily having to make it grow old.
