The mocetta is one of the most traditional and famous cured meats of the Val d'Ossola area, also called “motsetta” or “motzetta”, its name in dialect means "morseau de vianda setzae", which stands for "piece of dried meat". Centuries ago, drying was an important method of conservation for those food that were less available during winter.
The mocetta is dried beef meat, salted and seasoned. The cut is compact, fat-free, with an intense red/brown color, and the scent is delicate. The meat is sprinkled with natural spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, kummel, and various herbs.
Try the mocetta with mature cheeses, bread, and a glass of wine, as an aperitif during the weekend or as an entreè.

Wine (or bottles in general) are shipped using inflatable bags and are designed to protect them throughout the journey. We remind you that all packaging can be easily reused.
