Higa is the surprising Italian Grape Ale (IGA) born from the collaboration between the Enrico Crola Winery and the Hordeum Brewery. It is the expression of the agricultural excellence typical of the Piedmontese area of the Ticino and Lago Maggiore: the distinguishing ingredients of this beer are the Hordeum distal barley cultivated in Cameri (NO) and the Nebbiolo grapes of the Novaresi Hills of Mezzomerico (NO).
Limited edition with only 2500 numbered bottles of this Italian Grape Ale being produced.
In 2015 the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) included the IGA in the reference document for beer competitions around the world. IGA is an exclusively Italian product and is obtained from the combined fermentation of grape must and barley must.
Pair this unique beer with meat dishes, pasta, or risotto.
