Higa is the surprising Italian Grape Ale born from the collaboration between the Enrico Crola Winery and the Hordeum Brewery. It is the expression of the agricultural excellence typical of the Piedmont area of the Ticino and Lake Maggiore: the distinguishing ingredients of this beer are the Hordeum distal barley cultivated in Cameri (NO) and the Nebbiolo grapes of the Novaresi Hills of Mezzomerico ( NO).
Limited edition beer of 2500 numbered bottles.
In 2015 the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) included the IGA in the reference document for beer competitions around the world. IGA are an exclusively Italian product and are obtained from the combined fermentation of grape must and barley must.
