Description
From the geometrically harmonious vineyards in Castiglione Falletto, one of the 11 boroughs that make up the famous DOCG Barolo region – the heart of the magical Langhe, land of writers (Pavese and Fenoglio to mention the most famous) – comes the marc of this “cru” of Nebbiolo, “the nocturnal wine that smells of violets and fog” (Giorgio Bocca).
After a slow distillation in a pot still using a double boiler and a wait of at least six months before bottling, this grappa shows all its austere and elegant range of notes.
COLOUR: a perfect sheen.
BOUQUET: it expands among field herbs, wild berries and juniper.
FLAVOUR: of remarkable elegance. The soft notes and a herbaceous hint caress the palate, leaving a faint memory of liquorice.
