The Genepy is a liqueur typical of Piedmont, obtained by maceration in alcohol of Alpine artemisia.
It is produced by prolonged infusion in cold hydroalcoholic solution or by the distillation of infusion of male genepy (Arthemisia Glacialis) seedlings flower stems, with the addition of sugar syrup, which gives the product the classic dry taste with a bitter aftertaste.
In 2012, the Piedmontese Genepy obtained the recognition of the geographical indication.
Genepy Valgrande is a classic Piedmontese Genepy. It si traditionally considered a digestive: try it after dinner and share it with your loved ones!
