Inspired by the Walser population, the Bresaola with Ossola herbs is made by Casa Walser according to the long-standing tradition of the Ossola Valley.
It’s produced in limited quantities, only in certain periods of the year, following the ancient methods of the Walsers, a German race that has settled in these areas since the twelfth century.
Made from the best-salted beef, the Bresaola is aged for 3 months, until the meat turns into a vivid red. The taste is sweet but bold, thanks to the seasoned flavors of the Mountain Herbs.
A unique product that reflects the history of our region!
The Bresaola is supposed to be consumed as an entrèe or as a starter dressed with olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, rocket salad and matured cheese like Bettelmatt.
