On the porphyric soil near Biella leans the Bramaterra area: it was known even in the Middle Ages for its winemaking tradition. In that same area Roccia Rossa now grows Nebbiolo, Vespolina, and Croatina grapes and turns them into a characteristic and elegant red wine, Bramaterra DOC.
In the nineteenth century it was called “vino dei canonici” (lit. clergymen wine) because it was appreciated by Vercelli’s curia.
In 1979 its value was officially recognized with the Denomination of Controlled Origin (DOC).
Severe and powerful, this wine is the piece of resistance of Roccia Rossa winery.
It is garnet red, with orange hues, with intense perfume and on the palate, it is dry and velvety, harmonical and with a pleasant slightly bitter finish.
Try this Piedmontese excellence and pair it with a good risotto, you will be amazed by its flavor.
