Nebbiolo & Vespolina
With these two wines, Tenute Guardasole creates the base of its small production, trying to bring out the maximum that the grapes can offer in each crop.
For each vine, Guardasole has planted different clones so that they can be mixed together at each harvest, creating an optimal aromatic framework.
No sophistication in the cellar and very low content of sulfites. They get the best from the wines by managing the contact with the wood and the stay in the barrels. Guardasole pours the wine in respect of the moons, avoiding working in the winery on windy and rainy days. Hygienic and manic cleaning help creating fragrant and genuine wines.
The Boca owes its peculiarity to the moraine soil that originates from Monte Rosa. It is composed of granite pebbles, porphyry and flaking of dolomite rocks of Monte Fenera. The currents from the north coming from the Monte Rosa produce powerful daytime temperature variations. The Monte Fenera creates a natural shelter and favors mild winters, temperate springs, and summers and warm and sunny autumns that lead to optimal ripening.
After the harvest, the bunches are fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature and then macerated for about 25 days.
It is then aged 34 months of which at least 18 in oak barrels.
The color is red with garnet highlights. Fine and ethereal bouquet and elegant, sapid, dry, harmonious and pleasantly tannic flavor.
