La Bagna Cauda is one among the intangible assets to be protected as World Heritage. Not only landscapes and vineyards, but also dishes deeply rooted in the history and culture of Piedmont.
La Bagna Cauda or Bagna Caoda is a typical Piedmontese autumn recipe. An expression, which we can translate as “hot sauce” which is nothing but a sauce based on oil, garlic and anchovies with which they usually season raw and cooked vegetables that are typical of this area.
Excellent with fresh vegetables and, why not, also to spread on a slice of warm crispy bread.
