A bit of history
Delinquent is a Piedmontese word used by grandparents to accuse children when they did not respect the rules. It was also the grandfather’s way of calling Giovanni, one of the founders of the winery.
His grandfather was a strong man who, even when he was ill, managed to cultivate the vines by hand. This is what Giovanni and his partner want to do today: to continue to cultivate by hand, respecting the effort his grandfather put into pursuing his passion.
The wine comes from a small plot of land that has belonged to the family for several generations cultivated only with Nebbiolo vines, going against the tide and choosing Nebbiolo over Barbera in the hills of Monferrato. They produce only one wine, completely natural and with an organic regime, using only natural products to maintain the health of the vines and the quality of the grapes.
