A bit of history
Inspired by an innate love of the land, years ago the Fontechiara family decided to go back to their roots to revive the winemaking tradition of previous generations. They embarked on this unusual and challenging adventure, governed by the rhythms of nature.
The new vineyards have been planted on the extreme eastern slopes of the Novara hills, in an area particularly suited to the cultivation of local Nebbiolo and Vespolina vines, and have adopted methods aimed at obtaining top-quality fruit. Organic fertilisation, low yields per hectare and drastic selection in the vineyards lead to the perfect ripening of the grapes for the production of the wines, where a traditional approach is followed with advanced technologies.
