Azienda Agricola San Biagio
A bit of history
The San Biagio farm is located in La Morra, one of the eleven communes of Barolo, on the slopes of the hill of the same name. The property covers an area of 18 hectares and has belonged to the Roggero family for several generations. Surrounded by splendid vineyards, it enjoys an evocative panorama that sweeps over the Langhe, rich in castles and history.
This location hosted a monastery of Benedictine monks (Priory of San Biagio, year 1050), who dedicated these lands to the cultivation of the vine. All the vineyards of the Azienda San Biagio are part of the Grandi Vigne del Barolo of the municipality of La Morra.
The company is family-run. The vineyards are managed by agro-technician Davide, who takes care of the processing and phytosanitary controls. The oenologist Gianluca, on the other hand, follows the vinification, giving the wines a strong character and respecting their typicality.
