A bit of history
Elia Rossi is proud to carry on Piedmontese beekeeping traditions, producing high-quality honey from different flowers, all in the Lake Maggiore area.
Local honey production is supervised by The Consortium of the Verbano Cusio Ossola area, which promotes and guarantees quality thanks to a combination of modern techniques and hands-on experience passed down through the generations.
The Lake Maggiore area is characterized by a variety of altitudes: it extends from the shores of Lake Maggiore to high mountains, through numerous valleys. The variety of altitudes and consequently of vegetation results in the production of seven different types of honey with unique flavors and aromas. These kinds of honey have a range of tastes and colors, from pale gold to amber, sweet to slightly bitter, depending on which flowers the bees used to collect the nectar.
