A bit of history...
The company was founded in 1948 for all the Gorgonzola lovers in the world.
Now Sergio and Roberto Poletti, managers of the company located in Cavallirio, continue to be appreciated both for the passion and care that they devote to the production of this fantastic cheese. Palzola offers the sweet style Gorgonzola, white and creamy, to the spicy one, which taste definitely more intense and refined making it a true cult for connoisseurs. The offer is completed with the one called “Palfuoco” that is a tasty cheese, with cream and spicy hints awarded by a clever addition of chili.
Since the beginning of the 20th Century, the success of Gorgonzola cheese has been growing – especially abroad – with an export record of more than ten thousand tons per year to the UK, France, and Germany. British consumers prefer white, soft, slightly spicy Gorgonzola, whereas the French and Germans specifically order blue-veined, strong Gorgonzola, the so-called “two-curds cheese”.
